Seen this movie yet? i just picked it up at blockbuster and i must say this movie has shown me just how horrifying the nixon administration was and how the bush administration is literally duplicating the atrocities that nixon commited

here are 2 very stark simularities.

Nixon gets elected, escalates the war, invades cambodia, yet he still gets re-elected

Bush gets elected, starts a war, YET HE STILL GETS RE-ELECTED

dejavu anybody?

anyways go see this movie, it will really question your faith in the USA government and where its going and how horrific it was and still is to this very moment as i type these words.

enjoy the movie, its a documentary actually but it was very well made

I learned in my AP/IB Govt/Econ class last year that starting a war is actually a great way to get re-elected. The general public doesn't want to cause domestic confusion in the middle of an international conflict. Sometimes it just feels more comfortable to stay with the person that started it. People want to win the wars.

I saw the preview for that movie when I was watching An Inconvenient Truth; it looks great. Anything to educate the public about how much of a evil moron (possible?) GW Bush is has my support. My opinion is that if everyone is educated with the facts, they will make the correct decision. That opinion also applies to marijuana legalization.

A good quote I think... "The rich get richer until the poor get educated."

I'll watch that movie once I get back into the US in two weeks.

in the movie they mention marijuana quite a few times and its harmlessness...i wish billions of people realized cannabis is safe and its a joke to keep it prohibited, its 1 fucking big joke, thats like making coffee illegal

This'll probably get moved to the Movies/Television section, but that doesn't stop me from replying!

I love this movie partly because I'm a big John Lennon fan and partly because it shows people just how sneaky and evil the government is and was.

Lennon's song "Gimme Some Truth" really relates to the movie in a lot of ways (actually, I think it was used in the movie). You might enjoy it.
