TV, for the most part, sucks. Period. It's moronic, it's inane. Characters are caricatures. Plots predictable and boring. Stories uninspired and uninspiring.

I must say I've seen a few Gems in my lifetime, however. Some have impacted me a bit more than a TV show should. Some have saddened me - seeing how short lived great, smart TV tends to be is depressing.

So, what do you like to watch? Why? ANy memorable moments?

Some of my favorite shows -

Star Trek - yeah yeah, laugh if you will. This gave me a strong respect for stories, arcs, and continuity in a series (turned me into a scifi geek too)

X-Men (the cartoon) - ahead of it's time. I think a lot of what was being said went right over our heads Sat. mornings on Fox

Weeds (Showtime) - Great show. Lots of herb on display . I find the production values top notch. The actors fall into their roles fairly quickly. Dialogue is one of a kind. Absolutely memorable.

Heroes (NBC) - Just saw the season finale last night - Oh yeah! Great writing, unique pacing, everything comes together at points and in the end all I can say is "wow".

Stargate SG-1 - First show I was ever obsessed with. Love the universe that was created, love the team. Show definitely was in it's prime Seasons 4-8, but nothing gold can stay

Dead Like Me (Showtime) - So few people have seen this show, yet it's definitely in my top three of all time.


Ok, I've rambled enough (maybe I'm just in a couch potato mood? I'm going to go run around outside for a while!)

entourage, weeds, and the riches.

Other than that its ALL history, TLC, discovery, science channel, etc etc.

The only show I plan on watching every week is The Shield on FX. That show kicks my ass every week, its on its 6th season. Other than that, I'll watch the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, Sports Center and some other shows that aren't clicking in my head right now.

Also: Smallville, Lost, Entourage, Sopranos, The Tudors



I tried to get into The Riches but it just doesn't hold my interest. There's something about Minnie Driver that bugs me and I don't know what it is.
As far as Dicovery Channel, since I recently got HD, I've been spending way to much time on the Dicovery Channel.

I think I forgot about the Riches as it's new to me and I've missed the past two or three eps.

I have to say, The Riches is one of the best shows I've seen in forever. I'm a longtime fan of Eddie Izzard, and seeing him play this role is exciting.

Funny, dark, intelligent, thrilling - yeah, the Riches definitely needs to go on the list!
