Default Pirates of the Carribean: At world's end

I'm surprised there wasn't a thread for this, and if there was I didn't see it.
anyways
I recently saw this movie and thought it was pretty amazing. I loved when Jack hallucinates and the last fight scene was just breathtaking. Ha anyways, has anyone else seen it, and what did you guys think?

I would have to agree. The battle scene was really unlike anything I've seen in a movie. The hallucinating was a good twist too. The first time you see Jack is kind of trippy. I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't seen it yet. It was an excellent movie though and I would recommend seeing it on the big screen.

I didn't like it. I thought it was too long and their was just too much betrayal and switching sides at the end. The special effects were pretty sweet but that's all i really liked.

i thought they "jumped the shark" in the second one and they continue to do so in the the third installment. i'm a huge johnny depp fan and although he's the only actor i can think of that could properly play jack sparrow i'd rather see him in the lower budget horror/dark comedies that he's known for. pirates is too much of a "pop" film if you will, for god sakes it's made by disney.

The whole movie was pretty pointless and confusing and fulll of weird magic. But the battle at the end was so fucking epic that I can't give the movie a bad rating.

The first one nearly bored me to tears, so I have no plans to see the second or third (or fourth, fifth, or sixth) ones.

I also have to agree that I thought the first one was boring. Both the first and third movies outstayed their welcome and felt like they draged on. The third had so many "wrap-up" moments only to keep on going and going. My biggest problem though is the fact that the second was a big setup for this. I felt used that the second movie was nothing but 2 hours of action and special effects which in my opinion completely ruined the pacing of this third one. They had so much story to catch up on and it all came in such a dense package that I found number three hard to enjoy it, especially considering it was almost 3 hours! They should have chopped up the story between the second and third instead of having a useless set-up primarily just to be a blockbuster.
