today i was channel surfin and i saw my super sweet 16 on mtv and this bitch was crying because her mom gave her a nice ass car but she wanted it at her party and even told her mom she hated her because of it. sHIT LIKE THAT MAKES ME SICK

Don't even know where to start...

The kids on this show have so little respect. They don't appreciate the truly great things in life, they want money, cars, fame and glory all with out hard work. Their parents spoil them to no end. My first car? A 91 Buick Lesabre...I didn't like it, it was a piece, but it got me around and thats all I cared about. Now, if these kids ever have to be completely independent, they would be in for a solid reality check. With their nice cars and money there is little room for improvement. Almost any car/job I get is going to be one-step up from the last one...so I like it and appreciate it that much more.

All they care about is image, how they look and act towards others...that shit shouldn't matter at all. Sure I could go dump my life savings on nice clothes and whatnot but it doesn't mean shit - I'm still me - always was, always will be...forever.

Okay, I rarely mind when people use the word "gay" in this manner, but this is where I have to say something. Not because I get my panties in a bunch over the use of the word, but I don't think I care for a word I identify with to be applied to that stupid-ass show. (Note: Taking my previous statement too seriously will result in unnecessary annoyance.)

Anyhoo, I knew what the show was about, hence my reason for never having actually watched it. From what you've said, ian, it's exactly what I expected. I don't understand the entertainment value of shit like this. Do people wish they had that kind of money? Does it make them feel better about themselves? I just don't get it.

I went to school with a guy who, by the looks of it, should probably be on the show in question. I heard him once complaining because his dad bought him a new TV but it wasn't a flat-screen. My friends and I used to come up with creative ways of killing him.

My first (and so far only) car was an '86 Dodge Dynasty. It was a piece of shit that would hardly start and I never got to actually drive it, I just backed down the driveway once. It's just as well though, as it was a gift from my grandfather that I did not earn. I'd much rather work and buy my own car. It would be much more satisfying, to know that I bought my own car with my own money.

The scary part is, there are enough idiots supporting MTV to keep it's worthless ass on the air.

A girl from my high school was on that show. She "got" a lexus at the party , but her parents spent show much on theparty that they couldnt afford to keep it!! HAHAHAHAHAHA. this is 100 % true. Providence high school Charlotte N.C.

The show is staged. There was a kid on it a while called "Bjorn" who lived in the town over from me and from friends that have spoken to him alot of it is staged. For example, they give his uncle a nice car and had him pretend it was his for the show when in reality he drives a piece of junk car and is no way rich like they tried to show in.
