Default 49 Up

"Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man."

I, being a PBS junkie at times, happened to catch a documentary at 2 a.m. that I had wanted to see called 49 Up which is the lastest installment of the Up Series.

"The Up series consists of seven documentary films that have followed the lives of fourteen British children since 1964, when they were seven years old. The children were selected to represent the range of socio-economic backgrounds in Britain at that time, with the explicit assumption that each child's social class predetermines their future. Every seven years, the director, Michael Apted, films new material from as many of the fourteen he can get to participate." - wikipedia

As one of the people commented, "You get to watch us grow old, loose our hair, get fat and that's all great. But does this have any value? Well that's a different question altogether."

It is an incredible film because it allows you to watch all these different lives that have transpired over 40 years and observe the human spirit in a mannner of a few hours.
I highly recommend it
