Micheal Moore, no matter how much of a POS he is, does not need to be exhiled. All that needs to happen is for the people who don't like what he has to say to stop consuming his products. Hit 'em where it counts...in the wallet(and the cock'n'balls).

He does, however, need to have that Oscar disappear pronto. If an award is given for a documentary, the movie in question should be FACTUAL, not edited into dishonesty. Moore is intelligent and FAR left wing and possibly anti American. However, he is either lazy, or worse, dishonest. In BFC he manipulated footage, distorted facts, and staged stunts to get a reaction. A documentary is supposed to be FACTUAL. If evidence does not support your point, you either need to find new evidence or a new point. Moore chose a third option, to make the evidence that he had into the evidence that he wanted. It was fradulent and thus was his award.

Even though BFC had some "unfair" editing in regards to Charleton Heston, he deserves it!

Anyone who supports gun possession is a f*ckin moron no matter what the constitution or anyone says! Sure, sure guns don't kill people, people kill people BUT guns make it so much easier!

Despite some of the problems with BFC and its status as a doc.. I still think it should have won...at least for the attention the ISSUE not Moore received.

However, it seems Moore got more attention diverted to himself and not the issue of gun control.

Also, the best parts of the film (America's involement in overthrowing gov'ts to put puppet regimes and/or dictators in their place, the CIA trainign the taliban and osama bin laden ANd the entire examination of slavery and the grave difficulties it has caused and will continue to cause for the U.S.) were entirely factual and profound.

Based, on just those two elemetns (and there were others i cannot recall at this point) BFC deserved the oscar and status as a documentary.

His facts are " mostly wrong " and exagerrated.

He contradicts himself way too many times.

He calls people idiots and morons who don't agree with his stance.

He claims the Bush and Gore election was illegal - need I even respond to this?

He doesn't give a **** about racism, he uses it as draw to his movies or books. " Stupid White People. "

He claims Bush is a terrorist.

Many more, but they fall under the other categories.

Also I didn't here him or any of the Democrats or Liberals complaining when Clinton started bombing in 1998 for less of a reason. Just to note - I supported Clinton there.

For MickityMike: oh my, it seems you have misunderstood what Incinerated was saying.

I do believe that Moore lied and was deceptive but no where did it say, for instance, in that one sequence (from "cold dead hands" to later speech) that they were from the same time...he did not try and pass it off as that...there was no caption at the bottom that tied the two events together, they were simply separate clips.

You should start a forum about gun control somewhere on this board...you should go first because I'd like to have a good laugh about however you're going to support gun possession. Gun control now seems impossible in the States because every probably does need a gun to protect themselves from all the bogey men (whether real or not) that inhabit your country.

They aren't but more didn't lie in relation to many issues:
1) the u.s. does have a problem with handguns
2) you are a racist nation that was built on "freedom" fighters who all had, and therefore supported, black slavery
3)the american's use of their military to overthrow gov't they didn't agree with or wouldn't do business with them (to put puppet regimes in their place)
4) america's funding of the taliban and CIA training osama and co.
