There are rumors that Nolan would like Johnny Depp as a villain in subsequent installments of this series. That'd be awesome, he owns every part he gets.

I wonder if they would like to bring Depp in as the new Joker. I had ideas of that already (think I said it in this thread somewhere).
Even if not the Joker, Depp would be bomb in many roles. Hell I can't argue that he would make a damn good Riddler, if that's the case.

EDIT: I searched Depp news after reading this, and first thing I read is Johnny Depp is going to be playing Mad Hatter!!!

...Then I read on and they meant Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, not Batman

What a loop. lol

You know Johnny Depp would be great as the Joker. He has such range and would probably be able to pull that one off with ease. What do you think about Helena Bonham Carter playing catwoman. I'm thinking if any one can make that role work it'd be her. What's your take Ebert =0P

I dono if she would be good for that role. Don't get me wrong I love her as an actress. I loved her in Fight Club and Sweeney Todd. The only problem I see with making her catwoman is a cat is quick, agile, and alert. To me, Helena doesn't really come off to be a quick, agile, alert person

. I'm sure she could pull it off, but I think there would be better options. She definitely fits in this newly created Gotham though.
I really wouldn't want to see Poison Ivy, but reading on other forums someone suggested Angelina Jolie as Poison Ivy, and I couldn't argue that one bit. She would make a killer Poison Ivy. A lover of plants and able to seduce any man she wants...she could own that role.

Helena Bonham Carter actually played the mom in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I thought her very believable as the sweet motherly type. I was a little shocked of course but she pulled it off.

I don't don't know that Angelina would be all to believable as the vulnerable, sweet thing either. She would be great for the fight scenes though.
