I don't know what has caused it I believe it is the continuous playing of it on Adult Swim but something has caused me to hate family guy. the only episodes i will watch are brand new and I have started to be dissappointed with them as well I used to love family guy damnit anyway simpsons and southpark are great simpsons wins i guess but towelie i believe might be the better stoner character than otto oh yeah otto made me once contemplate the idea of becoming a bus driver pothead as a lifestyle choice i just kept the pothead part

I probably watch more family guy than the other two, but not by much. Id say which show i like the best depends on the day and the particular episodes playing.

Simpsons seasons 2-6 are the best of all time
South Park seasons 6-12 are the second best

Never cared for Futurama or Family Guy too much.

Family Guy is just a bunch of randomness and it's mind-boggling why people rave about the show so much...or would even go so far as to buy an entire season on DVD.

As a stoner who isn't afraid to admit he has some sedentary qualities, I love all three to be honest. However, I am going to have to say South Park is the best, comparing the peak (season 5+) with the best of the Simpsons (season 1-5) Simpsons has its hilarious moments, but in my opinion South Park has its hilarious moments, and its GENIUS moments. The times when you just realize, damn this is one of the most brilliant parodies I've ever seen. In the defense of the Simpsons however, South Park reached this genius level when they switched over to computer driven animation that allows them to comment on more current issues than the original episodes of the Simpsons, which I've heard take up to 9 months to produce and as such need to be funny on their own wings.

Based on their newest episodes, South Park. The humor and intelligence has progressed alot from the beginning of the show, whereas Family Guy is like a better animated version of the early South Park episodes, though it still is worth a laugh.
All of the shows go good with weed.

Out of the three listed, I think I'd have to choose South Park. Both Family Guy and the Simpsons get old, but South Park never does.

i'm more of a futurama fan.. Jurassic bark is classic, not to mention you actually care for the characters.. at least fry and leela
benders big score is awesome too, though the beast w/ a billion backs isn't as up to par

i think south park is smarter than family guy but it just doesn't do as much justice with replay value/repeat visits
i've been trying to figure out how to pin point the beginning of the simpsons decline and its almost synonymous with the death of phil hartman ( i realized this watching the angel episode the other day, i noticed lionel hutz was still around )

the thing about south park versus family guy is this..
if you like something and want to see your fav pop culture tv show parody it..
if south park tackles the subject... they repeat the gag to the point of beating a dead horse, but they at least acknowledge they are known for driving their gags into the ground
with family guy tackling the subject, it goes so fast if you blink you might miss it, and generally its more of a reference than an actual gag based on whatever pop culture phenomena you enjoy

i'm glad to say i've been watching the simpsons, futurama, family guy and south park all since their pilot debuts.. and i don't really have a preference between them
as for lesser appreciated adult cartoon sitcoms, king of the hill is a solid show with a very high consistency rate... very underrated show with characters you can care about and plot situations you can actually believe

as for shows on the horizon
cleveland spinoff(gag), the goode family (created in part by mike judge) and sit down, shut up (arrested dev creator, also starring SNL stars and will arnett, jason bateman and henry winkler)
