| Who else finds this beef funny as hell? On one side, you have basically the grandfather of gangsta rap, an icon that broke the way for NWA and all the hardcore gangsta rap of the late 80's and early 90's......and then you have a guy who sings about doing the "Superman" and other corny as hell rap. I completely see Ice-T's POV on this....People like Soulja Boy ARE killing hip-hop. While he's only one of many taking part is the destruction of the artform, he is a primary culprit for sure. Who the hell buys muscio like his, and what do people see in it? In any case, he should be beefing with someone of his own caliber....maybe Bow Wow? He has no credibility to take on a legend like Ice. He may be an "old ass n---a" to SB, but rap wouldn't be the force it is today witrhout innovators like Ice T leading the way for these kids

People that like it? I dunno, I've learned to just respect peoples musical tastes for what they are. I can't expect everyone to have the same music appreciation as me. It wasn't always this way, but I've learned I've come to appreciate a lot of music for the sounds it it is, not just ragging on stuff because I like to be in the 'opposing crowd'. Ice T is a legend however, I'll agree with you on that. Still 'beefs' like this are usually just publicity stunts, I find most of them ridiculous and usually pretty stupid in general.

| Oh, I agree...MOSt rap beefs are bullshit. I normally agree about respecting other people's tastes as well, but.,..... not opnly can I not dig SB's music, it amazes me anyone does. I think I'm safe in my assumption the only people buying CD's anymore are teen girls, because I really can't find another demographic that would really get into his music Regardless of his talent or lack of it, he needs to step down when his elders are speaking! |

| I have hated Souljah Boy from day 1. The very first time I saw some kid doing the 'Superman' I pretty much thought to myself, f*** Souljah Boy. His songs are NOT catchy and unthinkably annoying. I am not a fan of Ice-T but do realize that he is a pioneer in this rap game. Souljah Boy, just sit down and take notes cause you ain't got shit on Ice. ![]() |

| I agree with Ice T to an extent. He is EXACTLY RIGHT in calling out soulja boy for ruining hiphop (shouldnt even dignify it with the hiphop genre name, I guess its just rap). I seriously agree that he has made a really negative impact on the hiphop industry. BUT, the one thing I do agree with soulja boy on is Ice T being a 40 something year old man telling a teen to suck his dick. Thats pretty fucking immature in my eyes. I cant imagine my father telling someone my age to suck his dick. So besides that statement, the old, washed up Ice T is right on the money, and Im glad someone finally came out and said it.

| LOL...to his credit, Ice T DID apologize for the eat a dick comment, followed by "But seriously, you're music is garbage" immediately after. Then, at the end of the video, a more proper diss was made...the same "Eat a dick" comment, but this time from Ice's kid :coool: The entire thing is funny as hell to me, though. Its one of the most unlikely beefs I've ever seen. |

| If your at a bar or a club and Superman by Soulja Boy starts playing, I will look around and most people on the dance floor will put their hand in the air and start singing along to it. Weezer's song Pork and Beans speaks the truth that people like a catchy song with a chorus and beat that they can sing and dance along to and those artists do good on the charts. Look at how rock is today to though, pop rock on the teenie bopper stations with too much of repeating lyrics that are catchy, it's not just with hip hop. I don't think the artists are all to blame for what's going on with todays music, they are part of the problem for not standing up and doing music their way! Corporate record labels encourage the way things are when it comes to todays music and corporate radio stations will play songs that might be crap. Record labels also try to tell the artists how to make their songs instead of letting them do what they want with their music. They try to get the artists to become more commercial. | Weezer has been making music like that for over a decade. Thats their style. Its true that artist such as Soulja boy are killing music, but it seems thats what people like nowadays . Give it up to Ice-T, he is a an OG. That being said, this is why I listen to metal.

| I HATE SOULJA BOY! For some reason many things in the entertainment industry are turning into what I like to call "idiotic entertainment". Entertainers are relying on repetitiveness of unintelligent lyrics, lines, ect. It's like "I dont know what to say, so I'm just going to keep repeating the same non-creative line. Oh my God! Look! People are actually buying this crap!" I can't even watch new comedy movies anymore just because the jokes are so incredibly lame. Stupidity seems to be selling these days. |
