| I'm hoping you guys can help me solve my dilemma here since I can't seem to get a solid answer anywhere else. So I have several (and I mean several) CDs that are scratched/dirty/whatever and they won't play properly. Tracks skip or the CD won't read...it depends. I'd like to be able to fix this so I don't need to scream at my CD player when Jimmy Page's solo is cut short. ![]() Now, I've heard a few different remedies but every one seems to be argued. Some people say Windex is a lifesaver, others say it completely ruins the disc. I've heard of using toothpaste on the CD, even peanut butter, but I can't seem to find a straight answer that everyone agrees works. So I thought I'd give it a shot here. Anyone have any tried and true CD skip remedies?
