I am high, so me crying (not tearing nd breaking down, just a little tear that goes away while doing "why would you say that?....Why would you say that?" - Thank you, Mr. Dane Cook!!) to this one song made me realize how powerful a song can be. I've only cried high to (u know wut's weird? crying and cried have the same basic root yet one is spelled with a Y and the other with an I) this song because the lyrics literally represent what I am feeling right now.

I broke up with my GF a year and a half ago, but I moved and she started apologizing and stuff. Then like half a year after that ( 8 months after the start of the story) she wanted me back saying she was rly sorry she cheated on me. Anyways, to understand the rest of the song, I kept saying no to her, that I had a new life where I moved. After a while, she laid off, but then I started to kinda like her as a friend, nd then I kinda started liking her again, like I used to. Then I find out I'm moving to where she's going to college....pretty weird

. So I ask her if she'd be willing to get back with me and she said that no cuz there's still a long time before I move back close to her, so it would just be a weird year.

Now to understand this, she had really light eyes and dark hair, which I find really attractive, so yea, this part in the song goes:

"See the mirror in your eyes
See the truth behind the lies
Your lies are haunting me"

that part, nd the way the girl in the song sings it, it's just amazing.

The song is Armin van Buuren - Falling In And Out Of Love (feat. Sharon Den Adel).

Brings out the freaking waterworks every time, stoned or not.
Not sure if it was Eva Cassidy's death, way too soon, or that her version of that song is just really heavy emotional stuff. Probably a bit of both.

Eva Cassidy's version is amazing. It's also a very emotional song for me as well.

The only song to almost make me cry is an instrumental Hawaiian cover version of No Woman No Cry. Not in a sad way though. Something about it reminds me of this random girl I went to high school with, and it gets me every time.

maggot brain by funkadelic. 10 minute guitar solo. i didnt realize until after the song that my face was DRENCHED in tears. i didnt know what to do with myself after listening to it so i listened to it again

I uncovered a version of Amazing Grace that was allegedly played by Santana. I'm by no means a religious person, there's just something about the key and the simplicity of the message that gets to me, and the way this version was played, it's just soggy with soul and emotion. I played a version of it that I wrote shortly after my friend Matt died. I dropped to my knees mid song and just cried for a while. It was like all the emotion I'd ever gotten from the song up until that point just burst from me. I felt good afterwards though, which is why I'll never stop listening to music. Ever.
