Alive-And-Dreaming

I used to be the most stereotypical hippie out there. I had dreads, I wore hemp and sandals, and I loved all of the bands I was supposed to like. Gradually, my tastes began to gravitate towards darker shit, and I stopped listening to the bands as much or being as much of a hippy. Now, supposedly, the ultimate hippy/stoner psych band is Pink Floyd. You may have heard of them somewhere on the fourteen quadrillion threads there are about them here. Pink Floyd makes good music, I'm not gonna lie. pink floyd does not TOTALLY BLOW MY MIND INTO THE NEXT DIMENSION OF SUPER AWESOME STONER AWERENESS, DUUUUDE!

GET OVER IT!!! PINK FLOYD IS NOT THE BE-ALL AND END-ALL OF MUSIC. THERE ARE OTHER, BETTER PSYCHEDELIC BANDS!!!!!!

I'm so tired of hearing stupid hippies talking about how "The Floyd" totally opened my mind and changed my perspective on everything. I am so tired of hearing people speak about a bunch of douchey potheads with inflated egos and vocorders are the greatest thing to happen to pot culture since smoking pot was first invented. every time I see the prism logo, I just want to punch a hippy out of pure rage for every time I've had to endure "The great gig in the sky" because "This song will really make me 'get' the floyd, man."

Argh.
