Do you play an intrument?

Just wondering how many people in hear play some kind of instrument, what are your influences and how long have you been playing. I play bass and a little guitar. Been playing for about 5 Years. I listen to a bit of everything but im a big Frank zappa fan ,the Grateful dead,and Built to spill. I will give basically anything a listen . There has got to be some more stoned musicians in here

No, I do dabble on the guitar a little and can strum out some tunes. Not very good with finger picking, I am impatient and never got around to training myself. The Paul Westerberg album Stereo/Mono influenced me to learn. He recorded much of the album with himself on every instrument. I also can drum a little, but sold those a couple of years back.

My best instruments are probably piano and trombone since I've been playing both for about 10-12 years. I also play some guitar, ukulele, drum machine, and turntables. I just got some harmonicas for my b-day so I'm starting to learn that too. Oh yeah, forgot about the baritone, was forced to learn it in highschool cause the marching band used baritones instead of trombones(was also forced to do marching band since couldn't do regular band without doing marching band).

played drums for a few years and got bored with them. (there's only so much you can do.) picked up guitar a few years ago & am concentrating on that for now.

my influences are:
J. Frusciante (red hot chili peppers & solo)
El Hefe (NOFX)
Tom Gabel's acoustic stuff (against me! & solo stuff)
Pat the Bunny (Wingnut Dishwashers Union & Johnny Hobo)
