The Marijuana-Logues, a parody of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, is a three-man show that addresses the rites and rituals of getting stoned.

A bit about Menopause: the Musical

Menopause the musical (www.menopausethemusical.com) is a show written by Jeannie Linders who "was inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine" to write a story about the female experience of entering and going through Menopause. It was also inspired, as many shows are, by another show with a female concept called the Vagina Monologues (which did not include music). Jeannie's show took a bunch of tunes from the 50's 60's and 70's and parodied the lyrics to illustrate the trials and tribulations of women of a certain age (40+) and it has been a rousing hit wherever the productions have been placed.

The show uses 4 characters as icons of various types of females -- the Power Executive woman; the fading Soap Star; the Suburban Iowa Housewife; and the Aging Hippie Earth Mother.

This is where it gets personal folks --- I was cast in the show for the production that plays here in South Florida --- yeah among everything else, Mama is a helluva singer and performer. But *sigh* the night before previews opened ont he way home from rehearsal, Papa and I were rearended by a big black Lexus. I was fired the following week underthe "artitistic differences" clause of the Actors Equity Contract I had signed. Basically I was showbizzed out of a $600 a week open ended gig. They still haven't 'replaced' the Earth Mother part and are still using understudies from other cities -- I'm still in physical therapy and will be entering rehab now to get my muscles back in tone to get back on the boards (ie the stage)

But from every sh!tty thing that happens to us, we must use that sh!t as fertilizer to make new ideas grow and so I introduce to you MY concept musical for 2005-2006: Marijuana: The Musical

So gang...whaddya think?

Would you buy a ticket to see 4 stoners dance and sing about the wonders and blunders of pot in history and today? Heck, the audience sure won't be limited to old women who wear red-hats!

So join in -- send in a song suggestion, send in some re-worded lyrics -- it takes a Website to build a Musical.

Depends on the venue and the location ---

I'd hazhard a guess and say $20 range here in the beautiful So. Florida area would be a good guesstemate -- with no idea what the production costs and overhead would be.
