| Hmmm...where to start? Long story short, rap and hip-hop are at the bottom of my list. I'm cyncial, so be it, but rap is more "sound" than "music"...it takes a lot more to know how certain chords fit together than words do. Rhyme isn't even important. That's my point in a peanut shell. That aside, I have rather eclectic tastes. I have an appreciation for the "classics" (even though Beatles or Elvis don't really do much for me), but I'll also listen to classical (any form), jazz (any form, blues included, though I'm more fond of songs in dorian or mixolydian form), japanese pop, japanese rock, trance (euro, vocal, house, and some of other variants), pop that's older than 10 years (i.e. Billy Joel, Richard Marx, etc.) metal ( i.e. Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, mostly progressive or heavy, none of the darker or death metal), ska every now and then; alternative rock, industrial, game soundtracks, sometimes pure vocal artists like Josh Groban or Sarah Brightman, easy listening like Enigma or Delerium. I'll listen to music in French, Japanese, German, Russian, or Italian on a regular basis. Rock in general between the 70s and 80s follows a pretty generic pattern, so I don't listen to it a lot. |

| I like all kinds of music! Lately I have been listening to punk/metal music that was popular about 6 to 7 years ago. Like Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Korn, Tool, the Offspring, Ozzy, Nirvana and Soundgarden. One song that I love is "Tangerine" by the Flaming Lips. Not sure what genre that song fits in to. Try listening to that song when stoned, it really messes with your head. I like Primus too, their stuff can **** you up too. I also like country music (please don't flame me) The more cheesy and twangy sounding it is, the more I like it. I have a collection of country songs that I like to listen to while high. Hank Williams Jr, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, and Garth Brooks to name a few. I also like folk music - Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot (a Canadian folk singer), Stan Rogers (also Canadian), John Denver, CCR, the Irish Rovers.

| Although I enjoy most everything I gotta take the hair bands over everything else. Rock n roll will never die. It survived that decade. |
