i listen to hip hop....none of that cash money or no limit bullsh*t...the underground stuff, like:
hieroglyphics, common sense, living legends, pharcyde, alkaholiks, etc.
i like punk and a very small amount of alternative as well.

Thumbs up Hip-hop

Hip hop for me too.

None of that Juvenile, Hot Boyz, Nelly, Eminem, Dr. Dre trash... Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Gravediggaz, and D-sisive are some of my favourites right now.

Cool Rock n' Roll!

Rock n' Roll! All the way!

And Yes, Pimp, Tu-Pac is one of the best rappers there ever was.

Im VERY glad to hear (or read) Suabakey say that in her post, I think all these wanna be "ghetto" suburban kids have to get off these stupid rappers and realize what real music is. (Not that the underground rap isnt real music, Im sure it is because its underground, If you know what i mean)

I remember hearing that thing . . . ummm. . . Juvenile? yea thats it, he was asked if he would do a song with someone and guess what his answer is . . . . . "Its depends what they pay me, Its all about the money.", OMG! I could have punched him right in the face if I saw him, at that moment. Well I am rambling on, Sorry.

P.S. - This is not ment to offend anyone, just I had to get that out of my system.

If I had to choose one category I'd have to say jambands. First of all, it's such a broad category. You have more roots rock, bluegrass, blues sounding bands like The Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers, and then you have phunky bands like Phish and real funk like Galactic and techno bands like the Disco Biscuits and things totally different and weird combinations of them all. It's the only group where the bands are encouraged to be as far out there and do as many weird and odd and unexpected things as possible. Complete musical freedom. Nothing could be better.

I would have to say the electronic genre (trance, progressive trance, goa trance, ambient, drum n bass, jungle, downbeat, triphop, deep house, house, acid jazz),some hip hop is cool (the ol westside stuff like Tu pac and Wu Tang)but I hate the cash money sh*t,reminds me of the days of mc hammer and vanilla ice.Classical and classic rock are cool as well

Right on, Philosopher. Electronic music is my next favourite genre.

And RIP JMorrison, about what you said regarding that Juvenile interview, that's whathe and the 'Hot Boys' base their image on. Drugs, cars, money, and women. Take a look at any of their videos, or take a look at /them/. The videos involve scantily-clad women, money being thrown around, Bentleys, etc. They themselves have platinum teeth, plantinum chains, etc.

Yeah, they piss me off.

What's worse is the massive wigger following they have. It really sickens me, teenage guys walking around using hiphop slang, wearing bandanas, and thinking their musical taste is original.

Talking You hit the spot!

Saubakey, You just summed up everything that I hated about those rap idiots! Especially them wiggers.

But I must say, I looove the women they put in the videos. Only if the women were in some rock videos or something.
