| Well here I am sitting at my computer listening to some Metallica and the song Sanitarium comes up. Yah I know its about an actual sanitarium but I think it can be applied to our society and prohibition in some sense. Lets skip down to the 2nd verse, it says: "They think our heads are in their hands but violent use brings violent plans Keep him tied, it makes him well he's getting better, can't you tell?" To me this is saying that the government have instituted these things to keep us away from what they say harms us and thats its for our own good, but we all know this is not exactly true. the next part: "No more can they keep us in Listen, damn it, we will win They see it right, they see it well but they think this saves us from our hell" With the recent public exposure of 60 minutes, yah it wasnt really anything, and traffic, havent seen it yet but want to, the word is getting out that Marijuana isnt as bad as it is claimed to be. Eventually we will win this war. I know that I didnt analyze the entire thing but just those two parts. You guys may think completely different from me on this idea, but everything time I hear the song it sparks a little fire down deep. And hey if you guys dont agree with me its still one KICK ASS song. And Metallica if you guys are reading this..I did buy the CD, so dont sue me. :P Im done rambling. Peace, CUD Stoner | |
