| I agree, the wall is one of the most full on and sad movies of all time!. Dark side of the moon is just unreal to mellow out to when your wasted | |

| Actually Floyd's earlier albums(Ummaguma,Meddle,Piper at the Gates of Dawn,Saucerful of Secerts) arent really all that depressing, the only floyd album i find depressing is the Wall and The Final Cut somewhat. The Stoned Philiosopher ![]() |

| You know, the more I listen to the Wall, the less I like it. I know, I know, it's a classic album, but when compared with the earlier stuff, Piper and especially Meddle, I think they lost something by the time they got to the Wall. I just would rather hear 20 minute long psychedelia like Echoes (check out ekoostik Hookah's cover from 2/10/01, it's awesome) than Comfortably Numb, plus I'm sick of it, they play it on the radio all the time. But that's just my opinion. |

| Pink Floyd is the tops. I have had "The Wall" for about a year and it is almost the only thing I listen to while driving (I keep it in my car). Depressing?? While I can't say that I get "pumped up" on it, I love the subtle sounds that they do on that album. The other albums are all good too, but knowing the story behind "the Wall" and tuning in deeply to it, well, there's no similar experience! Not putting down anyone who doesn't care for it, we're all entitled to our opinions. As for the movie, I've actually seen it a couple of times, but don't really remember any of it, I was always so stoned!!! LB |

| If you would in fact look into the real story behind the wall, you will infact see just how depressing it is! I agree, The Wall sometimes isn't the best thing to listen to. I find that i will go a week listening to the cd everyday, then go 4 months before i listen to it again, it just depends on the music i feel like listenign to. Right now, i am on a Ben Harper/The Urge phase. |

| Well for one i think that one of the best floyd albums during the Waters era i ever heard is the truely overlooked and under apperciated album Wish You Where Here and the rarely heard of The Final Cut. Even though i havent listenedmuch of floyd during the Barrett years, but i like the albums Meddle and Ummaguma. And also, does anyone here like Gilmore Floyd? I know it kind of sucks (only liked one song off Monentary Lapse of Reason and one or two songs off Division Bell) its just that Gilmores singing kind of...sucks. The Stoned Philosopher ![]() p.s can you post pics into your post on this forum? iam just curious if it can be done or not |

| Pink Floyd has been my favorite band forever. Roger Waters is the greatest lyricist of all time. I liked the Floyd before I had done any drugs and I am always in the mood for Floyd.. My favorite album is Animals, of course. I saw Waters on tour and he played the full version of Dogs off the album, I was actually surprised that he played it because David Gilmour wrote the first half of the song basically... | |

| Hey, I always hear people recommend listening to Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon while high... I was just wondering, why is this? | |
