cuz Pink Floyd is the classic stoner band... There music is trippy, mellow, and sounds like its made to listen to while stoned...

Plus... they are one of the greatest bands in history and have a lot of fans spanning several generations...

my friends and i are going to watch the wizard of oz with dark side of the moon, but we are going to try some stuff. we have already done it with dark side on repeat, and it is nothing really special the second time through, very few coincidences, only noticed while stoned, but i was thinking and reading websites, some say you should put the wall in after, some say animals, then tracks 2-5 on meddle, well i was just thinking of keeping going, since wish you were here was after dark side, put that in, then animals, i figure it will end on dogs (track 2), and well since she is back on the farm with her dog maybe it makes sense, plus it just sounds like a song that could end a movie, i don't know, but we're gonna try it.

Although The Wall and Dark Side are both absolutely brilliant albums, stoned or not, one should not neglect other Pink Floyd work (not Gilmour Floyd though, I agree that it sucks compared to earlier Floyd). Both parts to Shine On You Crazy Diamond are excellent to mellow out on, as is Echoes (bloody long, though) and Interstellar Overdrive is great for a more uplifting and trippy feel.

P.S - Anyone looking for the wall on video who can't find it in the musical section might want to look in the art-house section, thats where I found it. Any Floyd fan who hasn't seen it should, the animations, especially the marching hammers and copulating flowers, and the war and death imagery of Goodby Blue Sky.

Echoes long? it's only 26 minutes! I say the longer the better. I heard Ekoostik Hookah cover that on 2/10/01, it blew me away. You might actually try to locate a copy (also try and find the Slipjig through the Poppy Fields which comes right after it, trust me), it might be on napster or something. I'm a trader so that's how I got mine.
