i mostly (99.5%) listen to hip hop and some punk, but this guy is amazing. it's the only 'techno' (aphex twin is like a genre of his own) i've ever liked. some favorites: girl-boy song, 4, windowlicker (this one trips you out soo bad if you listen while stoned), flim, and pancake lizard. the span of the music he creates is huge....one song is totally different from every other song.

Richard D. James is a genius. I especially like Aphex Twin's selected ambient works volume II. It's some of the most spaced out, minimalistic music outside of the extreme avant garde. Anyway, all of his stuff is worth checking out, at least on napster or whatever, even if you'rw one of those people who "hate techno." The man's brilliant. I guarantee it's like nothing you've ever heard.

Also, for those who might not already know, Richard D. James also preforms sometimes under the name AFX and some others. I read an interview within the last two or three years in which he said all of his new material was going to be released under the name Aphex Twin. I don't know if it's true though.

My fav Aphex Twin albums are: Selected Ambient Works 85-92 (a classic),Selected Ambient Works Vol 2,The Richard D James album,Classics (mainly Polynomial C,Digerioo.Flaphead,Icct Hedral),some of the Analouge Bubblebath albums (Vol 1,3,5)

Not bad!! It isn't what i normaly listen too, but i am burning it onto a disk right now, and am goig to hear what it sounds like in my car I got 4 amps put in last weekend, and everything sounds soooo damn amazing, so i thought i would try that

the amazing thing about mr james is that he builds alot of the synths that he uses to make his music. either that or he'll rewire a store bought one to get his own sound out of it.

I seriously idolize this guy. This man is so amazing, and has inspired and help create so many other genius artists just like him. My favorite work by Mr James is stuff done under Caustic Window. I love Cordialatron, Joyrex, Italic Eyeball, damn that whole compilation is amazing. My other two favs are prolly 'I care because you do.." and "Selected Ambient Works 85-92", ambient sound scapes with finely crafted beats. One of the most brilliant artists today.

Aphex Twin is amazing, Boy girl song, Window Licker, and Autumn Acid are some of my favorites. If you like Aphex Twin i would also look into Plastikman
