The Doors is just one of those great bands that I know I'd love if I listened to em more, but I just never did for some reason. I've loved the music for years, (mum was a 60's buff), and just never had that much of their music. Recently I dug up some of my mum's old stuff and ended up putting most of it on my play list (-: Right between hendrix and the beatles

i love all of the doors music but my all time fav, the 1st song i heard of theres is People are strange. Im only 17 so i wasnt around when Morrison was even alive but i still agree that there one of the best bands in history.

I know I sound like a best-of album, but those truly were the best of the Doors. I try to emulate Ray's keyboard style and have on semi-permenant loan a very nice Roland sound module devoted entirely to the Hammond B-3. I own every Doors album besides that live Doors. I really can't say enough how much the doors have affected me, so Ill stop.

i love the doors, i have all their music, a lot of thier live shows too. i have posters, the movie, you name it i have it.

jim was a man looking for enlightenment, he used differnet ways of finding it, but it worked for him. he wrote well, very cryptic, my style is somewhat like his, but its not a copy. its just the way i write.

Since this seems to be the place to discuss the Doors...has anyone listened to that Johnny Lee Hooker (RIP) and Jim Morrison (RIP) version of roadhouse blues? Is that an overdub? Is that even JLH?

The End has to be my favourite song. From Apocalypse Now. One F*cked up awesome movie, with great music though. I also love "love her madly"
