I just did a public records search on switchboard.com, and there's some guy named Mojo Rison in Illinois. It's pretty weird. It costs money to find out more about him, though. It's weird because they give him no birthdate, nor phone number, nor address. Oooeeeooooeeeoooo.

I think their best album is Strange Days. So did Jim.

Well, the old revival didn't work, so, I'm sorry, but this is one of those times when one has to break the rules. BUMP

Any comments at all would be appreciated, just so we can start a discussion.

Here's my weak attempt...Jim was so cool that he never owned anything. He had an appartment with an overstuffed chair and a ****load of books in it. Pretty much nothing else. His wallet consisted of a piece of cardboard wrapped around his ID and a credit card, tied together with a rubber band.

If you haven't heard When The Music's Over, download it now. You might as well download all of Strange Days anyway. And everything else they've made, except Soft Parade, I guess (Jim's least favorite).

Edit: Wow, and here's a search with the correct spelling. New Jersey? Who knew?

Talking The Doors

I have always liked the doors but now I am seriously getting into them. About a month ago I got best of the doors LP and then rented the movie. I read up on it a little and saw that there were a lot of things that were made up. To get some more info I picked up the Jim Morrison biography Break On Through and I'm really into that. I digressed a little bit there. haha. Anyway I just love the Doors. When I get a little bit more money Im going to buy the complete recordings of the doors with Jim Morrison.

I'm listening to Roadhouse Blues right now.

The Doors are pretty nice, but I've already overplayed them in my short age...barely listen to them anymore. My favorite songs are Soul Kitchen, The End, Five to One, Riders on the Storm, Roadhouse Blues, and When the Music's Over.

Jim Morrison is kind of overplayed a little bit. I don't consider him a poetic genius. I've read a few of his poetry collections and a lot of it is shit. The American Night things...there were some really kick ass shit and some stuff that was pointless.
