Well, after noticing the lack of AiC related posts, I thought I would start one. Come on, AiC f4cking rocks! When I get really high I love to put on Jar of Flies and listen to the whole album. Rotten Apple is an awesome song when you are sober or high..

AIC are one of the most underestimated and overlooked band in rock 'n' roll, i think. unplugged, jar of flies and SAP are so mellow and relaxing to listen to; while Dirt, (self-titled) and Facelift rock out more than anything! sound a lot like Nirvana but have their own style (and a formally trained vocalist ) no diss to Kurt.

PS: i dont care HOW old threads are

Well, it's not always that on how good the musicians are depends whether the music is cool or not. Nirvana are quite mediocre compared to aic. YET, their music is as precious. It's the spirit that matters. Now I've written that somewhere already but nevermind - Seattle sound is very significant page in music history. Huge one. Nothing would be the same without those guys. And, yeah I agree that aic are underestimated and somehow are always under the shadow of Nirvana. That one they don't deserve. And, to avoid misunderstandings of what I've written, I'm gonna once again state, that I do NOT mean to say anything bad about Nirvana with this article.

Alice In Chains is one of my favorite bands. Every one of their albums has a unique sound to it and that's what makes them so good. It's too bad that Layne is gone and it made me really sad when he died. The other thing that sucked was that no one really seemed to care when he died. Hopefully one of these days they will get the notoriety they deserve. I'm a Nirvana fan but not as much as AIC or Pearl Jam for that matter.

I use to listen to them a lot. Now that I think about it I think I'm going to have a smoke session and see if I can;t find the old CD I have from them. I'll let everyone know how it goes...

Alice is chains is a great band. Infact, the only grunge band that I liked back in the day, well also Sound garden. Nirvana was pure ****, and nobody would know of him if it wasn't for mtv. Kurt was a disgrace to the guitar, and began a new decade of uninspired guitarist to write ****. Well, that's my opinion.

I love Alice in Chains, they are one of my all time favorite bands. My favorite songs by them are, heaven beside you, down in a hole, them bones, rooster, angry chair, would? and man in the box. Now that i think of it, i'm pissed that i don't even have any of their cds. I like hearing their songs on the radio, i always gotta crank that sh*t up.
