| Clapton is God. I did a huge term paper on him for a jazz and blues course I did last year, and I have read several biographies. My grandmother loved him, and so does my mom, so it runs in the family guess. I'm gonna be playing 'Unplugged' for my kids instead of twinkle twinkle. I think his acoustic album 'Unplugged' is his best work, but I am biased towards anything acoustic. I have the recording on VHS too. As for songs to put on a cd: Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out, Hey Hey, Signe, Presence of the Lord (Cream), Walkin' Blues, and of course Tears in Heaven. One criticism I have of Clapton is that lately he has been doing nothing but cover albums. I can see that he wants people to know who is infuences are, but I think we all got the point after 'From The Cradle.' I'm beginning to think he's running out of ideas. I'm not sure about Reptile, but I would imagine it is mostly if not all covers. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

| All the above mentioned songs are wonderful and would make my favorites list for Clapton material. If you love his blues, however, you should definitely check out "Riding With the King". Hearing Clapton and B.B. King play together is pure joy if you love the blues, and I do. |

| Ive always liked him, but at this very moment there is a concert with Cream performing. It's kind of renewing my interest in his music. Any good recomendations as to what albums I should look for? Songs I should look for? Live performances I should look up? (I have a pretty extensive Cream collection, but im looking for JUST Clapton stuff) |
