| *agrees* nice post froggy ![]() You may be right, that would be some funny stuff if he does put all that on as a show to make money, and he goes home a completely different guy, to a hot wife, and 2 1/2 kids, where they have a tradition of going to 10:30 mass on sundays.. No reason not to beleive it, but as his musics impact, that alone puts him on my list of people that i don't respect.

| one of my favorite lines from a rap song is by mike ladd on the track blah, blah, blah where he says "marilyn manson's a millionaire 'cause the whole damn world is creepy." that line pretty much sums it up, he's definately a product of his environment. |

| I think Marilyn Manson is a brillant man. I personally only like two of his songs "Sweet Dreams" and "Beautiful People". But I mean, he has a subculture in the palm of his hand. He's disgusted so many people. ![]() Maybe it's all a show, but shiznit! I'm sure he doesn't care. He's rich, he can do what he want. I just don't understand the people that practically worship him as a diety. Enjoy his music sure, but don't fall on your knees and praise him. | |

| my friends used to just listen to beck, manson and kula shaker so i too listened to manson and i think he makes good music. he's a smart guy that's for sure and manipulative as hell but he also has some good views on things and he's definately not right wing. he may not be a liberal but he's a sworn enemy (by both sides) of the conservatives and seeing that almost all politics in america are fascist and he opposes them i think. ppl need to understand that artist have images. dr.hook had a bottle of booze on stage with them all the time but it was just water. it's same with eminem or whatever but me personally would listen to some rap or a blood for blood cd anytime over manson peace | |

| I'm not a big fan of manson but I don't hate him. I think he has some good music. His whole image thing makes me laugh. He is just a phoney, but he makes a hell of a lot of money.

| I think Manson is a really intelligent man who has great views on our society. But his music?...It doesn't really do much for me. Pretty much just Alice Cooper and David Bowie rolled into one. Some of you should read some of the things he has to say in his biography and on his official site before judging him (how in any stretch of the imagination could he be considered right-wing??). I do think he presents himself wrong if he wants to be taken seriously. When Kurt Cobain wore a dress to the Headbangers Ball, it was funny. When Manson wore that costume with his ass hanging out...eh. I think he should've been a writer instead (like he started out doing). | |

| Manson is a beautiful poet, but I really dislike his image...but think about it, would people take the time to read his poems, no. So he really does need to look and act the way he does, gets more attention and more people "listen" to his poems. |
