Hey stavia, great to see another Dead fan. I can't blame you for not liking most of today's stuff (and I'm only 18), but there is some good stuff out there. What about Phish, Ekoostik Hookah, and other newer jambands? Yeah, they're not the dead, but they all do their own thing. I don't wanna get too far off topic, but there is good music out there, you just have to look for it.

Default the best rock

was made from 60īs to 80īs
then the 80īs came and rock almost died, but metallica (wich now Sucks with capital S) had some really good stuff then, now they are sell-outs
and i heard a lot of Phish and when i downloaded some stuff, it sound a lot like country music

What Phish were you listening to? They do some kicking bluegrass every now and again (Poor Heart, Uncle Pen), but I wouldn't call Phish country, I wouldn't really call Phish anything, they don't fit into any genre. Download a decent version of "You Enjoy Myself" (try 7/8/94 or the version off of A Live One, they're my favs). It's not their best (but that's a subjective question) but it's the shortest way to answer the question "What is Phish?" Very jazzy, and phunky, and spacey, especially the vocal jam!

I agree. You turn on MTV and see nothing but backstreet boys and n-sync. Every single one of their songs is either about dating, or how "great" pop music actually is, and how it's gonna take over the world. The kiddies can't get enough of this ****. No wonder the average IQ has gone down dramatically in the past two decades.

Not even at www.amazon.com ? they'd usually have everything I needed. I say screw paying $12-15 for a CD, pay $20-$30 for a spindle of 50 blank ones and start trading shows. Lotta good dead out there. Check out www.etree.org for more info on trading cdr's and .shn's

Red face Music Has Gone To Hell

I remember long ago when pop music concisted of rock bands, real music. Now Pop has changed from popualar music to fake music. It is mainly because of MTV and their show TRL that music is no good anymore. You never get a chance to hear any good music played on MTV anymore becasuse all their concerned with now is image. If you have a pretty face and nice clothes, and a mic then your a sudden superstar. Nowadays all of the good music isnt given a chance becasue of groups like nysnc and backsckreet, good bands like Sum 41, Dave Navarro, and 311 dont have a chance.
