the question: have any of you met any musicians, either at a concert or after. if so, do tell, i love music and want to hear the stories!

my story: while i was still a little punk bastard i used to be really into heavy metal, this is when i used to have a lot of anger inside, now i am a mellow, pothead hippie at heart mofo. anyway, i went with two sly cats to a korn show in columbus. now it was cool, i loved the band at the time, but staind was opening for them, well we got floor tickets, and we showed up like 2 hours early to get in. well when we got in we got front row i guess you could say, we were right infront of the stage, so far it was awesome. well the first act sucked, a local band, mindless self indulgence. they really sucked. but then staind came out, it was awesome and this is the climax of the story. the guy from stain came out on a slower song, and went into the crowd on the platform, and he was right infront of my and my friends. it was awesome, i was holding him up in the crown and he we signing right to me, it was a cool expirence, but then i got a boot to the back, had a nice bruise from it too.

well that is it, not to much detail, i am still at work. being a slave monkey!

I've met some members of ekoostik Hookah, albiet briefly. They always walk around the Newport (best place to see a show in Columbus) and talk to all their friends and fans and whatnot. I saw Cliff Starbuck, the bass player, right after last Hookahville. I was at OSU at Hempfest, a small festival. I just saw Cliff, so I had to go up and shake his hand, thank him for Hookahville and all the good times.

I also saw Cliff a festival Hookah played in West Virginia buying some food from a vendor. I was about to say something to him, but I wasn't exactly sure what to say. I mean, they don't really wanna be worshipped, but it's hard to say something other then, "Did you know you're Cliff Starbuck from Hookah? Remember Hookahville? That was awesome!"

It's easy to meet the members of smaller bands. There's this band called Jiant from around Ann Arbor, MI, they play in Toledo all the time to, so I saw them a lot when I went to school. Those were some cool guys.

I probably shouldn't be saying anything, because there's a real small chance it'll happen, but a friend of my dad's knows someone who knows Trey Anastasio, so there's a chance I might be able to meet him when he plays Columbus next month. A lot of people won't believe me, but if I do I'll try to get some pics or something to prove it. And like I said, there's a good chance it won't happen at all, but that'd be real far out.

I was in LA on vacation with my parents, and I met Gene Simmons (A real privelage, I know.) in the Athena-Royal ancient art gallery. Apparently he has a thing for Roman art just like me. A woman was explaining some piece of art to him, and I walked up to listen, and after she finished talking, I said, "Excuse me, are you Gene Simmons from Kiss," and he said "Yeah" and we shook hands and chatted with the lady for a few minutes about the piece that she was trying to sell to him (a real nice glass bowl (a bowl for food, not the herb ), but at $12,000 a little out of my price range, actually, everything there was out of my price range.)


And my former piano teacher's uncle did lights for the Dead from 66 to 68 for all their west-coast shows.

Well, I went to school with a bunch of people who were into doing the whole roadie/stage hand work thing. A few of my friends were on the crew for a couple of the Wide Mouth Mason shows where I live (you canadians will know who WMM are), and got to meet them and stuff. And a friend of mine is in a local punk band who has played shows with SNFU and Samiam.

Red hot chilli peppers were going to play at my city and they came like one day early and flea and chad went to the mall and i reconized Flea and came up to him and asked for an autograph he said sure man, whats your name. i told him i was going to buy a RHCP shirt so he could sign it too, he said dont worry he would give me one from their van, he said that i should tag along with him so i could get the shirt later. So i taged a long for about 1 hour and only a about 15 people came up to us. flea made bunch of dirty jokes and while we were walking to the band van he asked if i was going to the concert i said i would but the tix were too damn expencive *with a sad puppy face* and he gave me a back stage pass, told me to come by the hotel and show the pass i could meet the rest of the band, he was soooooo FREAKING cool with me. I showed my pass to all my friends i called every single person i knew to show off my back stage pass, a girl (hot btw) said she would do stuff to me that i only seen in kuma sutra movies for the pass, i thought about for a sec and said "sure, NOT!!!!" i went to the hotel and met kieds and frushiante(sp?) and chad stared to fart a lot and i took about 10 gazilllion pictures. i went to the concert with them in their bus, hanged out with them till concert time, they played a kickass show i jumped around the stage and i saw bunch of people i know, they were all pointing at me


after that my mom woke me up and told i was late for school, that was the coolest dream i had, except one about the girl that said that would the kuma sutra stuff
I'm sorry i just had to post this, its just a joke, RHCP never came to my city....

man i have had that happen, i had a dream i was going to woodstock 2 when it was going on, and it seemed so darn real, then when i woke up i notcied it was a dream and i was so mad, i wanted to goto that really bad!

but i would love to goto the first one, omg.....woooooodstoock

ok this just happened last night. me and a bunch of friends went to go see a dexter freebish show at a small club. it was an awesome show, after the show, we met the band through a friend, we were hanging out with them, it was soo cool. anyways before the show, a friend and i went and snagged some dro before the show, anyways, after we were talking with the band for a lil while, the guy who introduced me to the band asked me if i had and thing cause the band was looking for some. so i wne to my car, rolled a fattie, and gave it to a band member. i don't know why i'm so excited about this, but i am, oh and i didn't roll the joint with the dro, it was mid grade but nothing incredible. i could never roll dro, glass works only. anyways thats my story. i've met goldfinger too. now that was a bad ass show, can't wair to go see them in july in dallas, damn thats gonna rock.... anyways, later
