Question Romantic Songs

I'm having a ladie friend over at my place this weekend *wink, wink* Since i dont have a girl friend anymore. And i want to play something nice for her, but since i'm not really into romantic songs i dont know what to play. i just know i cant play korn or rammstein or any of the stuff i got, maybe some pink floyd or iron butterfly. So i'll let the pros (the singers not you guys) talk! I'm talking about some soul music here, something that makes girls tingly inside , something deep, something slow.... I'm talking some serious Chef (from South Park) action, you guys got me? What do girls on the boards like to hear?? I'm open to sugestions, of any kind!! Barry White?Isaac Hayes?

can't go wrong with any old school r&b or funk. Anything, and I mean anything by Marvin Gaye. "Let's Get it On", "What's Goin' On", and "Sexual healing" just to name a few. Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, Aretha Franklin, P. Funk, anything along those lines.

Any kind of mellower rock type stuff, something along Dave Matthews Band, I don't really dig'em, but it doesn't kill me to listen to them. In general, you can't go wrong with anything featuring a guy and an acoustic guitar.

Oh, and anything she happens to like would probably help to. Good luck brother.

if you like pink floyd try listening to their cd "a momentary lapse of reason" all of the songs on it are kind of romantic

I second Marley and Gaye. Laid back and sensual. Everyone say kinky reggae. Kinky reggae now! peace

Default Thanks guys!

I downloaded some of the stuff and checked it out and BLERGH!LOL. Most of the songs i went one minute then fliped to something else LOL. Altho Aretha Frankling was fun, but i got respect which i dont think is make out song . Temptations is good, and i also got Righteous Brothers "Unchained Melody" its the theme song from GHOST. For me its a pretty depressing song which you listen to when you are sad, but she likes it she'll hear it! BTW plans changed, we are going to some other friends house, coz this friday is a holyday (independence day), and he is having a party, so that means i'll get high too. Thanks people you guys are great!!

Just thought I should mention that listening to Ben Harper (esp. The Will to Live CD) always got my girlfriend in the mood.
