| There are many types of tables out there. Some good some Bad.Dont waste your time with anything but the best. There are 2 leading companys right now, Technics, and Vestax. Both make GREAT tables. For a mixer I would most def go with Vestax. They make some of the tightest mixers ever. . If I were you I would check out some websites like, vestax , and technics Good luck ![]() | |

| Pioneer are also starting to turn out some nice solid mixing desks. For turntables I'd go with Technics 1210's (if you can afford them) because they're reliable and the industry standard. Make sure you get good headphones that can handle loud bass/kick drums without distorting. What style trance are you planning to spin? | |

| Coming out with the DJ-M,Pioneer has been working on there mixers. The effects rack built in is cool, but all faders, and knobs do break easy, and are extremely hard to change. Go with any Vestax. Knobs, and faders are built well, and for those mishaps they interchange with 2 screws, and a plug. I've been Djing for about 6 or 7 years now, and in my setup I have two Vestax PDX A1S's , and a Vestax PMC-27MK2 mixer. I use to be a die hard Technics fan, and once I got ahold a vestax I've never gone back. Technics are the "industry standard", but their design hasn't changed in the last 20 years. Vestax are just as reliable, and innovating every day for the "DJ". DISCLAIMER ![]() This is not a sales pitch, This is purely opinion/suggestion. ![]() | |

Also check out some of your local record/"dj gear" stores , and ask. It shouldnt be tuff to find em. As far a Dj tutorials check out http://www.hyperreal.org/ SIte seems to be down, now but give it a shot. Hope this helps ![]() | |
