I'm sitting here listening to Neil Young / Unplugged .
This has to be one of my favorites.Just something about this one.

Hurricane is a great song.Any comments?

Unplugged is great... that version of Hurricane is awsome (in a spooky kind of way). My fav. on that disc is World on a String - it's just a great tune about being in the present and being yourself.

Other Discs:
I really enjoy Everybody Knows this is Nowhere. Also, if I'm ever in a somewhat depressed mood - Tonight's the Night is the disc I put in.

Neil Young is the best solo artist ever. Period. The amount of great material he puts out is mind-blowing. Here is a very incomplete list of my favs:

1. The Needle and the Damage Done <--What a beautiful song with a great message.
2. My My Hey Hey <-- Has my favorite lyric of all time "It's better to burn out than it is to rust."
3. Afer The Goldrush <--Of course.
4. Don't Cry No Tears
5. Heart of Gold
6. Country Home
7. Broken Arrow (Not the one you're thinking of.)
8. Harvest Moon

One of the few artists with which I agree totally as far as politics AND love his music.

Thus ends my post demonstrating my prostration to Neil Young.

I don't think there's a single other musician out there who has the same power and precense with just a guitar, harmonica, and voice. Consistently, he writes some of the best songs, completely from the heart.

Everybody Knows this is Nowhere is one of my favorites of his. Cinamon Girl, Down by the River, Cowgirl in the Sand, can't go wrong with that.

I love Neil!!!! Deadhead, your list of favs is excellent! "Held a . . . Broken Arrow." I saw him two summers ago and he kicked ass. Jammed on Words, played a wonderful Tonights the Night, along with Don't Let It Bring You Down. There were a bunch of other good tunes, too. I love everything off of Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, Harvest, and After the Goldrush, plus just about everything else he's done (except maybe Trans. I've never heard the whole thing, but what little I have heard I haven't liked).

I just recently got into Neil Young and CSN&Y. For the longest time, I hated them. Thought they were boring. But this summer, I just got into them big time. Such great songs.
