Wink Weed jammin

i love smokin weed, and i love jammin, and i really love smokin weed then jammin. i apreciate music so much more when i am stoned, and it makes me feel more stoned. the two things go hand in hand. i find myself smoking more and more, and playing more and more guitar, drums and bongos. it is cool. anyone else play any instruments or in any bands. what styles of music, whatever, just somethin to do with music, cause music is cool.

I can't wait to start learning how to play the guitar! I love music and I love to get stoned...I usually draw or paint, but I want to learn something new. I've wanted to learn how to play for soooo long and my friend is going to teach me. I love Danzig, Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, DOORS, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews...then I go on to harder stuff like Bad Religion, NOFX, Tool, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies...gee, the list goes on. I'm going to go nuts...I wanna learn it all.

I play guitar and I used to have a band. It was really just me and my friends getting high and jamming. So we were a jam band. I hate musical labels, they are so confining. The beauty of being in a jam band is that you can play anything you want and the audience will push you to play something different. It reminds me of a Louie Armstrong quote when someone asked him what kind of music do you play, "Well theres two kinds of music, bad music and good music. I play the good kind." We often just jammed on some funky bassline, and then that would morph into a country song, and then maybe a stones tune, and then it gets psychedelic. We'd play for an hour straight without stopping, just letting it flow. Some of was good and others were crap. But it has taught me how to jam. We lsitened (and still do) to a lot the Dead and Phish and Hookah, and other jam bands along with a bunch of other pretty diverse influences ranging from the Beatles to Miles Davis and the Violent Femmes. That band fell apart (I'm still friends with the guys though), but I'm thinking about getting an acoustic coffeeshop type thing going and maybe forming a band from there. I should have an acoustic around christmas.

I'd also like to learn how to play the banjo. I love bluegrass and I love the sound of a banjo. Remember: jazz is for the head and grass is for the ass.

Check out my thread in the music forum called the power of improvisational music. It might be buried but its there. If you read that then you will realize why I love music so much.

Default good times

the best summer of my life was when me and my friend got together like every weekend and got stoned and jammed. we had a 4 track and a room full of instruments it was fun as hell.

once as inspiration, we watched 2001 and smoked bowls and jammed when the movie got to its breaks
