Actually buckethead is slash's replacement in the new GNR.

I saw him a couple of weeks ago, and it was awesome. He played two sets, although I had to leave before the second one was over. He is definately not for everybody, but if you enjoy badass guitar playing and weird tripped out melodies then you should check him out.

For more information check this link. The interview with Ozzie is pretty funny.

Buckethead!

This guy is an absolute genius. In 2007 he has collaborated on over 20 albums, releasing at least 5 I know of as a solo artist. He has worked with Saul Williams, Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Les Claypool, Mike Patton, Tony Williams, Iggy Pop, and even more. I had always been a fan of Monsters & Robots (His most famous album, it was with Les Claypool)but his new stuff is just phenomenal as well.

Here are a few videos to showcase his truly phenomenal talent, the guy is a loon. There is 1 picture of him that has ever been released, he might be a little crazy but he is an amazing guitar player, one of the best, ever.

Mmmmm, that last one (Soothsayer) makes my ears feel all warm and fuzzy....

What do you guys think of him?

Any other fans out there?

Monsters and Robots (Best selling, most famous)
Decoding the Timebomb of Banshebot
Peppers Ghost
Acoustic Shards

Try those. Peppers Ghost is one of my favorites but Monsters and Robots has a ton of good tracks too...

Personally i think his best work is with Laswell. Praxis and Material are both great bands. As far as fav album. Definatly Giant Robot. I have almost 2 gigs of his music if anyone wants any. lemme know. I can zip and send.
