This band is getting pretty big here, i'm sure it its getting big there too. Some people say that they are the only true rock n roll band around, but these people probably just sit and watch mtv all day long and dont know cr*p what they are talking about. Anyways their hit "Last Nite" indeed is a great song. They do play plain o' rock 'n roll. Does anybody have any comments on this band? I want to say some more but i dont know what, so stay tuned for the sequel of my post

i don't know, didn't they used to be called the New York Dolls or something? Anyway they suck. but that's my opinion, if you like them cool, but I ain't sending out any recomendations.

Yea I think that The Strokes are awesome. Their music is rather simple, but still very good.

Very much in tune with the K.I.S.S effect. ( Keep it simple stupid. )

In my profesional opinion, MTV sucks. However, the strokes are the closest thing to good music on MTV, and they are the only ones I will stop for if I pass MTV while surfin. Anyway, they are ok, far from what I would play in my car, but eh, who cares, if they are on ill watch them

I'm not sure I dig it too much, but I can tell that it's important music. Not so much for the content of the songs, but the ethos that they may (hopefully) bring back to rock.

They somehow remind me of the Velvet Underground. But of course Lou did it better since he did it first. I kinda dig it. The implications of where that could go is interesting.
