| well i'm 15 and i got a bass package a few years ago for christmas and i enjoyed it but my heart is with the 6 strings so i borrowed a friends acoustic that was never used last summer.. picked up a few chords, and eventually bought an Ibanez something.. one of the cheap ones they have hehe.. i got an peavey amp to go with it, then a few months ago i finally got a fender acoustic... i love acoustics.. and yes, they're great for camping.. hopefully someday i'll get a Gibson Les Paul and a marshal stack, and/or a fender strat or some sort.. i like to mix n' match.. but only when i get the frickin money! lol but yea, i've been playing for a little over a year now and everyone says i'm really good, and i think i'm doing well for a year, but i know i can get alot better and i'm goin to keep at it

It's totally acoustic singer song writer kind of stuff. I also enjoy playing my elctric thati dont believe i deserve. It 's fun as hell to improve with Dead songs and such on it. It's a custom Heritage with binding all around HRW pickups a double VIP switch set-up the top is flame top maple with a flame top maple pick guard and a mother of pearl truss rod cover with my name engraved on it. hehe I just learned chin Cat Sunflower today I'm so excited, now if only I had a bowl to roast. ![]()

| I have a Epiphone Flying V, Hughes and Kettner Vortex amp, and Laney Cab. I've been playing for about a year now, and I'm pretty good for as long as I've been playing. | |

| Hey guys, new here...but I'm a guitar player too, so I thought I would bump this thread up... I'm 16 and I've been playing for just under 2 years, it seems like the time has flown by. I have 6 guitars...a Taylor 414ce, Fender USA Ash Strat, Fender Mexi-Fat Strat, an Ibanez RG550 (maple fretboard, ice blue w/ mirror pickguard), a Squire tele, and a **** old Hohner acoustic.... I've got one main amp, a Peavey Classic 30, and a few select stompboxes- Captain Coconut 2, Vox Wah, TS9-DX, Guyatone Analog Delay, and others... I play a lot of blues music, old and new....Muddy Waters, JLH, SRV, 3 Kings, Hendrix, etc. and am also into Ben Harper and a few other "modern" artists. Hopefully for Christmas I'll buy myself a Weissenborn-style lap slide so I can start coping some Ben Harper licks ![]()

| well, before i start, I just wanna say to ones who've read my recent posts in the instrument thread, I do dance around with instruments a lot, and these are the ones I have at the moment, heh, thats where all my money goes, then my car, then school, then weed, here i go: 6 string classical (not sure of the brand, it's really my dads but I play it like its mine) 12 String- this baby is also the belongings of my pops, but I once again play it daily. 6 string acoustic/steel string- tacoma, 1997, not exactly sure the series. 6-string electric- les paul, gibson, 2002. gibson classic, 1992. (I really want a "ultimate jazz" gibson series!) i think the next guitar I get is a fender before the 65 (before CVS) Others- Tacoma acoustic/electric bass, 4 string (2002) Ibanez electric bass, 6 string (2001) Fender, electric bass, 4 string (1993) Banjo-my dads, but I love it! I've been playing bass for 8 years, guitar for 5 years, banjo for 2 years. I don't think I'm good, but people say I am, and I've been piecing togather a solo album, my first one. I've been apart of many local bands, most were just a bunch of friends and I who would go on stage in auditoriums at schools and just do whatever, no real songs, and we did that we a few frat parties. but the only 2 real bands I've been in were in 12th grade. But one was just a talent show band, and the other, was just a few friends after school who I hung out with, smoke up, and try to make songs and put them up on Kazaa titled as "Eminem-Will the real slim shady please stand up" or "Nirvana-Smells like team spirit"....haha, suckers, they just got us doing annoying arguements as lyrics and just going nuts on instruments. i miss those days..... but, if anyone is interested in what i'm trying to do with my solo project, i'll keep you posted, but i dont really expect it to be done any time soon. and its time for one more post and time for bed..later

| Hiya all, I've been playing for about a a year and 1/2 - started on an old Seagull and for graduation, my father gave me his Martin D-35 P. Amazing guitar, sounds outstanding. I play a lot of radiohead (Karma Police, various others), Clapton (Tears, Layla), Floyd (Wish You Were Here, Machine, Comfortably Numb, some others...), Dave, Zeppelin (Stairway anyone?), and a lot of other classic rock tunes. I'm totally self taught, first song I learned was Stairway. (Classic eh?) Now if I could only learn musical scales so I could play lead...hmpf... Rock on. Lucas - Choose life, Choose a job, Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a ****ing big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers..... Choose DIY and wondering who the **** you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind numbing, spirit crushing game shows, stuffing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, ****ed-up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life..... But why would I want to do a thing like that? | |

| Ive been playing about 12 years, i have gone through a wide selection of guitars, most notably a '58 Les Paul Custom, 62 Fender Strat and Waal bass. All of them given to me by my uncle when he gave up playing proffessionally. Im pretty good at guitar but my bass playing is what im best at... I wasnt much good at either until i started smoking regularly (about 8 years ago) and now i have a better understanding of music. One of my afve thigns to do is get toked and crank out a few tunes ![]() |

| I play guitar, I've been playing it for about 3/4ths of a year. I have a Fender Strat. I have okay ability, I know most of the bar chords and can play alot of punk and grundge stuff. I'm more talented in lead roles though, I can spit out some awsome gothic rifts.
