| We have been talking about Bob Dylan in another thread, and the suggestion was made to open Bob up his own seperate thread. I have truly listened to this mans music all my life. Some of the first words I heard were from 'The Times,They Are A Changin'". On thru my childhood and teen years I enjoyed Dylan.Tangled Up In Blue has to be one of my all time favorites. I finally reached the point in my life a few years ago where I had made up my mind to go see the great Bob if he came around, and I got the chance to do just that at Riverbend Music Center;and guess who he was with? Another favorite of mine...Phil Lesh and Friends! Bob was the first on stage, and what a show. The sound was real good, and just to get to see the Bob was one of the high points of my life. And yes,he played Tangled for us and danced a one- legged jig.He did his new song,Things Have Changed, from that movie the Wonder Boys. So there ya go folks.Gather around the flames of a good Christmas thread and join in.Is the Bob on your list of favorites? ![]()

| Definetley. My favorite albums are probably Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde on Blonde. Some of my favorite songs would probably be Tangled Up In Blue, Its Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding), The Gates of Eden, Ballad of a Thin Man, and just about everything else off of those albums. John Brown is my favorite anti-war song of all time. Even though I read someone say once that John Brown wasn't a protest song. It was a human song. For those of you not familiar with the song, it is about a young man sent off to war and his proud mother who talks of the medals he will get. He comes home from the war horribly injured and he drops the medals into her hand. Bob is just an amazing poet. And he sets the poems to good music too. Whether he's writing about social problems or something deeply personal he did like only he could.

| I've mostly been a TOOL fan and a fan of many other musics. Definently not a Bob Dylan fan. Not because I don't like him, but because I never really listened to him. I watched the video on the end or Wonder Boys. That song is Amazing! Opened me up to a new world of great music. This man is a great american poet, no doubt. | |

| Dylan's definitely back in top form. One of the best songwriters of the 20th Century if not of all time.

| I know what you mean about Bob Dylan being awesome in concert. I drove 7 hours to see him at Music Midtown in Atlanta last May and was totally blown away.

| My fave Dylan song is "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again". That song is amazing. I also like "The Hurricane" and Lay Lady Lay". I also have this great version of "All along the Watchtower" featuring The Band which is pretty cool. | |
