| Fine bro, put the Eurhythmics up against the Doobies, I don't care too much for either of them. I like the doobies alright, but they play'em too much on the radio, and I just don't care for the Eurythmics at all. Not my style. Give me a nice soundboard dead show from 1972 and I'll be happy.

That was my opinion on the topic!("Jeez, like talking to my brothers kids."Dedbr shakes his head and walks away."Ganjx just never learns.") |

| to bailey 1138: what was the name of the album where the dead experimented with electronics ? i hear a lot of rock fans express dislike of sythesizers and electronics. for a lot of them if it is not a guitar its not worth listening to. would you agree with my assessment of their attitudes? the dead's willingness to experiment with electronics seems to run contrary to philosophy of a lot of rock fans. | |

| Are CLUBFOOT and Ganjx one and the same? I was not aware of this. Anyway, If I may stick in my words on a question posed to Bailey... The Dead used synths on many of their studio albums. Terrapin Station, In the Dark, Shakedown Street (uugh) are the albums that stick out most in my mind as being synth-heavy. I don't agree with people that say "hack it if it's not an axe." They can be guitar fans, but to ignore other sounds is crazy. | |

| thanksfor the info and the post deadhed. i m glad to have come up with a subject that sparked your interest. i have no idea who this Ganjx is . i go by only one name and thats clubfoot. i agree with you by the way that no sound should be off limits to an artist and as a consumer i should be open to many audio experiences. to limit myself to enjoying one instrument or one category of music would be self deprivation. but i think that you and i are in the vast minority. most americans who are rock fans worship the guitar . i have read articles in major newspapers that said you can not have rock without the guitar. to me this is bologna. but if there is any one reading this message who agree ith that please defend it. to get off the topic for a minute. i was wondering if you read the thread i started called idea for movement? in a nutshell i thought there should be about five weedfest per city to create decriminalized zones. woulddo you think? your response might be off topic so if you choose to do so do it post on that thread or e-mail me. | |

| many people have made some good points in defense of their favorite decade. all i can say is that whenever i turn on the radio and that song comes on with: " welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. were so glad you could attend come inside come inside. " the only thing i can think is thank god for new wave. cause if it wasnt for new wave we woul still be listenin to that or the eagles. | |
