| Some more punk bands you should definetely listen to: RX Bandits <-- They sound like Sublime with a more ska/punk influence, I dunno how to describe it H20 <-- Awesome live Less Than Jake <-- Their old stuff is more ska but their new stuff is punk, awesome band, probably the best live show I've ever seen Anti-Flag <-- Another awesome live band. All their songs are chantable. Millencolin <-- The singer's voice is a little weird because they're from Sweden, but they're an awesome band. Blink 182 <-- Only Dude Ranch and before, The new stuff isn't so good, but back in the day, they were great. The Ataris <-- Kinda emo-ish punk. Mainly songs about girls, really well-written, deep lyrics though. Sublime <-- of course. NOFX <-- who doesn't like NOFX? Incubus <-- Not exactly punk, but unbelievable when stoned ![]() Me First and the Gimme Gimmes <-- play punk covers of old lame-*ssed 60's and 70's songs, they're pretty cool. Green Day <-- Just old stuff, their new cd's pretty lame No Sum 41, SR 71, or new Offspring listening allowed ![]() | |

| Wow. I have heard Barrington Levy on a Shyne Track (Bad Boyz) I don;'t like that song, but his part and voice are amazing. I have loves sublime forever. i have never heard nofx that I can rememvber so I am going to start there. I like Greenday, Blink182, and other bands like that. Not listening to something because it is mainstream is not good. They still put out the same music they have. Well, thanks all. Loved the list. I got a LOT to download now. | |

| For Reggae the answer is obvious...Bob Marley. No Woman No Cry (The live version is absolutely incredible), Jammin', Exodus just to name a few are some of the best reggea songs out there. I picked up One Love: The Very Best of Bob Marley today and it is awesome, definitely get this if you like reggae.

| I'm big into punk and ska(also reggae influenced no matter what anyone tells you) Some of my favorite bands are: Rancid, Operation Ivy, NoFx, Officer Negative(its good, I don't care if they're christian, I am not one to judge), Less Than Jake, Catch 22, ALL, Guttermouth. Definitely check out the local punk scene. Support young striving musicians like myself. By the way, if KISS FM a national radio station? I know theres a KISS FM broadcasted out of a town just south of here that plays like soft rock from like the 80's to now. | |

| I don't who'd try to tell you ska isn't reggae influenced. I always thought ska was sort of a merging of rock and reggae, more punk and reggae than just straight up rock. That ska rhythm's definitely got some reggae in it.

| yeah, KISS FM is national. They kinda jaded me on most mainstream music. local punk rules. screw supporting striving artist, go because the music kicks ass for one, your way more connected to the band, and the atmosphere is so much better when there arent security guards around. |
