| i have heard several well respected rock artists express admiration for songs and artists that are continually looked down upon. can you name songs or artists that you like but are embarassed to admit you like? my favorite list is full of things that most of you would call guilty pleasures but a few would be " born this way" by carl bean with the chorus" i'm happy , i'm carefree and i'm gay. i was born this way" . " do you really want to hurt me" by culture club. relax by frankie goes to hollywod. | |

| Hahah...good thread. I have a big list of these, and coincidentally I call them by the same name. "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen "War" by Edwin Starr "Blister in the Sun" by Violent Femmes "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynrd Skynrd "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osborne "Buddy Holly" by Weezer "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen "Jack and Diane" by John Mellencamp "Changes" by David Bowie But...my number one of all time guilty pleasure is.... "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Guns n' Roses. Especially the live version. Its awesome. You may commence laughing. | |

| Hehehe... I guess it's time to come out of the closet. That new Jennifer Lopez song (don't know the name, but won't change the radio if it's on, if you get my meaning) Knockin' on Heaven's Door... that's another one... but I'm sure it's pretty common Damn, I'd better shut up now before I say something I regret ![]() | |

| Deadhed...there is nothing wrong with liking many of those songs...G'N'R's "Knockin" is amazing. What's wrong with AC/DC? They kick ass. Skynrd? Bohemian Rhapsody? Alot of people like that song. Nothing wrong with liking classic rock. It rules. Anyhoo...Peace.

| ... creedence clearwater revival songs that include: Susie Q, i put a spell on you, proud mary, bad moon rising, green rivers, down on the corner, who'll stop the rain, up around the bend, run through the jungle, I heard it through the grapevine, sweet hitchhiker. as you can see a pretty extensive list, but what do you expect from a damn good band.*p.s. you've probly heard more than a few of these songs in your lifetime without even knowing*

| Thought of another bad one... Ace of Base's "It's a Beautiful Life" Ack! and another one Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever" i cant see how you could like the shakira song but i think "its a beautiful life" is a good pop song. it is basically the italian disco formula. you can hear abba in that song. you should google italo and italian disco and check out some of those sites. heres two http://www.dance.f2s.com/realaudio.htm http://www.parametrix-inc.com/italo/italosound.htm my favs from that last link are "kiss me" by navarro and talking to thestars" you might like campanero. from the first: "colder than ice" by grand miler," shankle" by tozzo, living on video by trans-x. songs are listed by artist on that one this is where ace of bass got the formula for that song . and the pet shop boys too. the guy who likes brittany spears. maybe you should have stayed in the closet i have yet to hear a jennifer lopez song that would make me spend any money on it. she can dance her ass off though | |
