| I must reply in defense of the guitar, and of left handed guitarist's. We donot string our instruments up backwards!I learned to play on a right-handed guitar holding it upside-down When I was 14 my dad took me to Atlanta and bought me the cheapest "Gibpson" acoustic he could find in the store.$150.00 It was right handed.I hated it.Pick guard on the wrong side I have learned alot about guitars since then."Jimi"could play the guitar "strung" left or right-handed.There "ARE" many differences between an instrument "made"left-handed and one "made" right-handed.Everything is built exactally OPPOSITE. Electric guitars are easier to convert cuz there is no face bracing,or saddle position to contend with.Neck curvature, and harmonics, can be tweeked with the turning of a few screws. With the "Strat",the nut is difficult to work with, and just changing the strings around will not likely suffice. If you look down the neck of any good guitar, you can see the fret board roll slightly(left or right). This characteristic along with fret dressing, nut groove, and saddle height, determine whether the strings buzzz or give a clear clean sound as they hit the frets.Bow of the neck, string tension, and size, and attack ,are other factors to keep in mind, which brings me back to "Jimi"."Right-Handed Strat"strung left-handed,(most of the time) He just liked the knobs at the top. They could be controlled with his forearm, rather than having to stop picking, and TURN IT UP b.suede

| He had tricks that he'd do having the extra stretch on the big E that standard strung (right-handed 68)guitarist's,couldn't do with just a whami-bar,but that was another thing Hendrix liked about the right-handed strat. He could whami-bar a sustained note, or notes, down, and alter the bass note by pressing the "stretch"from the end of the nut,to the tunning peg. Then whami-up,hit harmonics, and have that "elusive"glide/echo/sustain/slightlyoutatunebutapproachingperfection sound that,so characterizes,"Hendrix" b.suede |

| No ****? Well that guy could probably play anything and it would sound great. The guy is in Phil & Friends, the Allman Brothers, and Gov't Mule. And he sits in with people all the time. He's gotta be the busiest guy out there.
