You lucky lucky bastard! I would give my left nut to have been able to see the Dead in the 70s.

Read what Shroud posted about getting some shows the easiest way, that is if you have highspeed. I don't have highspeed, so I trade shows. But my burner crapped out on me a couple months ago so I haven't been able to trade for a while.

I haven't seen "The Dead" but I did see Phil Lesh and Friends back on 8/1/02, Jerry's 60th birthday. It was good, but nothing compared to what they did with Jerry.

I'll let you know when I get my burner fixed, probably in a month or two, and I will send you a Dead show or two.

Yeah, those were the daze!!! Props and thanks to Shroud and Soybomb for tips on mp3's and sites like nug.net. I would have loved to have been in Milwaukee for Summerfest this year. What's left of Dead (to me, Jerry's absence leaves a big gap...), Ratdog, et.al. played there with Joan Osbourne filling Donna Godchaux's shoes. Would be interesting hearing a file of that show...So glad it's fall, the flowers turn such brillant hues
We're fortunate to have such a incredible resource of Jerry's and Dead's music with tapers, b+p's, etc. that not every artist has. I'm sure they are Barbara Streisand fanatics who tape every show but she didn't play psychedelic electric ragtime. Thanks all!

Yo Bubbs, thank you for bringing this thread up. Let's get something going here! I got some shows from the GD, Particle, String Cheese Incident, Phish, and MMW. I'll trade with anyone, just post what band you're interested in and I'll give you a few dates to choose from. My collection right now is pretty small with only a few shows from each band but hopefully this thread will make it grow
