I like Bob Marley but I know that not all stoners do. I was talking about Bob Marley today and someone immediatly just said "dude, your such a stoner" But I have trouble believing that you have to be a stoner to listen to it, and that if you are a stoner, you automatically listen to it.

Just wanted to know how many people here smoke bud and listen to Bob, and who smokes bud and doesnt listen to him.

I don't know if i have ever met someone who dosen't like Marley. I hope there isn't, Bob is so good. I love Zimbabwe. Bob marley is so important to the cannabis culture. The smooth reggae beats perfectly fit in line with the calm rythmical chie of the weed.

I love bob marley and have a bob marley background I made for my comp, which untill recently confused my parents why I would have a bob marley screen like that.

i smoke more or less, but don't listen to Marley. Maybe back in the day a little, but that was beacause Bob Marley+pot was something everbody knew. I have yet to meet a fan of Bob Marley that doesn't smoke

im a fan way longer than a stoner. I have listened to bob since i was 12 or so and smoked since 15-16. I have a really good friend that is a huge reggae fan, hes got some stuff i never heard about, some really "underground" jamaican music and he doesnt toke, never has and probably never will. I keep telling him that listening to bob stoned is really diferent from sober but he will never know...

I own just about all of Bob's music and I love listening to it whether I am stoned or not.
I you haven't checked out his offspring, Ziggy (and the Melody Makers), Damian "Junior Gong" and Ky-mani, try some, its good. Damian mixes traditonal reggae with urban influences, and the mix sounds great! He recently won a Grammy for "Halfway Tree", check it out sometime if you get a chance.

i smoke bud, but have never really listened to Bob Marley at all. i cant make an informed decision on your poll since it is basically one side or the other. perhaps you should add an option or two for those of us (probably very few) who have never really listened to his stuff before.

Marley is a hero to stoners everywhere. I think something in his music just appeals to us happy-go-lucky stoners, and even a lot of non-stoners. His music is so great, it transcends all boundaries. Even my Dad loves Bob Marley, and he's almost 50.

oh wow,Ky-Mani is related to Bob?Is he one of his sons?I havnt heard much from Ky-Mani,but he was on "Equality" by Afu Ra (one of my favorite songs of all time actually,Afu Ra is ill)....Well on the subject of weed and Bob,my godmother loves Bob (along with Floyd,The Dead,The Doors,Mammas and The Pappas ect) and she doesnt smoke..She used to but hasnt in probably about 15-20 years...An my mom likes him too and has smoked 1 joint since I was born lol (Im 17,so 17 years cuz she toked with all my friends,when i was asleep..the one thing i always wanted and they didnt wake me up) I know a couple other non smoking Bob fans...
