| I honestly think that Blind Melon was perhaps the best band of the 90s. Nirvana and RHCP and other bands made a huge impact, but musically Blind Melon was amazing. Most people only know "No Rain" but they had many great songs and Shannon Hoon was a great singer and songwriter. They're like a modern day led zeppelin. if you're not into them...try these songs: Paper Scratcher The Pusher (a stephen wolf cover) Candy Says Soul One Dear ol' Dad Seed to a Tree Soak the Sun there are many others...these should get u started

| I personally don't think the Red Hots and Blind Melon are even in the same....... sport. I mean, RHCP has been around for a lot longer than BM and produced a lot more great music. I mean, whats BM's latest release? Hehehe. Anyway, my input... (I do like BM tho... just, they have nothing on RHCP.)

| I've always dug Blind Melon...i think my fav bm song is soak the sun...or maybe sleepyhouse... I actually got to see them live the night before shannon hoon (i think that was his name) died...needless to say he was under a massive influence of something, and it wasn't the best lasting image to have of a great band, but that's what they are | |

| I never listened to themmuch when they were around. But in retrospect, they were a great band. They managed to rock but still add something funky, something danceable, in there. A really underrated band.

| Great call BubblingBong. IMO, the two best bands of the 90's were (in order): The Black Crowes Blind Melon Shannon was wicked good at writing lyrics. I was driving to work the other morning blasting their self titled disc thinking, 'Man, I'm probably the only person in Columbus rockin' to Blind Melon right now.' Peace. |

| What would be a good tracklist for a Blind Melon CD. I haven't listened to them much and I'd like some help. Thanks
