I just had an experience with MilkDrop and Tool's song "Lateralus" and I swear, the experience was almost heaven-sent. I didn't know how well it could connect to the song but it did. The whole "spiral" notion in the song ties in well with the plugin's spiral motion obviously but, what threw me off most was when Maynard starts singing "we'll ride the spiral to the end, and may just go where no one's been" and the plugin was focused on the left side of the screen and it was as if I was riding on the spiral and then it turned into sky blue and it was just pure dissonance and it felt like I was drifting/flying through the sky.

Mate i know what your talking about. I have an old version of winamp but i double click on them moving bars and it brings up a full screan visualzation and OMG It's the only one i have but it's so awesome when your high. It is different everytime and changes to different types of music. Watching the visualiszations while listening to music is the best way to focus on nothing but the music which makes the experience so Intense!

Anyone have some suggestions for good visualiztions I should download? I'm getting really tired of the ones that came with it and I don't feel like going through the whole winamp site only to find ones that suck.

Yup Milkdrop apparently is the best. When I tripped off topics for the first time, it was highly suggested that I watch it.
