| To all the people who thinks ALL electronic music sounds the same, why dont you listen to say Aphex Twin,Mu Ziq,or Autechre and then listen to say Paul Oakenfol,ATB,Ferry Costen, etc and then try and compare the two as sounding "the same". You will notice that there is a clear DIFFERENCE between the different subgenres of electronic music. Sure some of it sounds like crap then again theyre are always crappy music in different genres of music.

| The reason why I don't care for most styles of electronic music (trance, techno, all sounds the same to my ear, but I don't have an ear for that sorta thing) is because it sounds so synthetic, IMHO. The majority of it, to me, sounds like it's a thing made by a computer. It feels to me like the soul is sucked right out of it when you do that. But like I said, that's just my opinion. I prefer music that sounds more.....organic, for lack of a better time. Music that sounds like the living breathing animal it is.

| I'm with Bailey1138 exactly on this. I've found that the only 'techno/trance' or whatever that I can get into is stuff that relies heavily on acoustic samples. While I can respect the talent of various DJs and mixers, I need some aural reminder of human involvement in the music. ![]() |
