| Anybody else like Nas? The only good mainstream rapper out right now. All they talk about is "bling bling" and "hoes", etc., and the beats are terrible.Nas managed to go mainstream w/out loosing that sense of "street credibility." And while I've lost resepect for almost all of the mainstream rappers out there, I still like Nas (even tho I to, think that he was better underground) I tend to think this about most rappers. They're all "real" and good in the beginning, but become "wack" when they reach their fame. The lyrics in some of his songs are incredible- even meaningful, unlike most mainstream garabge. There's this one song on his new cd "Stillmatic", where he raps, and tells a story backwards- it's phat. Just wondering if anybody else digs this sh*t. |

| Nas is very tight. Unfortunately, the very reason why he's good is the same reason that he isn't as poplular as most other mainstream rappers. |

| Nas is more popular than most rappers... hes getting a ton of play on MTV ever sence "One Mic" became a single. And even before then "Got Ur Self A Gun" was getting a ton of play too. I mean granted hes not nearly as popular as say Ja Rule or someone like that but hes not exactly unknown either. But yeah his style is really good, much differnt then the standard rap tracks you hear now a days.
