Thumbs down If you actually got felt up,and had to empty a backpack

Sorry,it wasn't me.And I'm not sure I have a newsletter anymore, but,if the interest is there I'll get it going again. Also there were in excess of 100,000 concert folks, and not enough workers.Folks that came a week early, got the best jobs.I got there the wednesday before the concert, and they were still hiring.
Working the concert was actually more fun,to me,than just having to put out a hundred $ for a ticket.I got paid $350 for 47 hours, and didn't do any real work...Nashville is about 75 miles from Manchester in one direction, and the same distance from Chattanooga in the other direction.Any of my associates who want to cme to Tennessee a week or two early, will get the added opportunity to visit all the best places in this area I know about. In the months to come,I will add a bonnaroo page to my website, and throw down some pics and info. on alternative camp sites, kewl places to get a buzz, and a map.b.suede
p.s. where did you find out that it was on for next year?I haven't been told anything about advanced ticket sales.

I heard something yesterday that suprised me. I heard that they paid the cops, to not arrest anyone. Someone told me that around 3 people got arrested and they lived there. (True--or---False)

www.jambands.com had a news article on the frontpage. Ticket sales and anything of that nature aren't even being thought of yet, they just announced that their would be one next year and that it'd be in the same place.

WZ--I did hear about a few folks getting arrested in traffic on the way in, but if you're dumb enough to smoke anything then, well, you deserve what you get.

Thumbs up Being on the inside ..................

I saw two "official" L.E.O. vehicles in the 5 day span. One State fire marshall, and that was it!Yes there were three arrest, outside the gates, and They were local........As far as pay off's......i'd have to say no,only from my experience with law here......Had they had reason to enter the confines of the cow field,no amount of $$ would have stopped them. There was just no needThe slogan,"To protect and serve"is taken literally around these parts. And,it wasn't taken from a condom commercialb.suede

Having been to a large number of festivals, I think most police departments in the towns that hold the festivals know how much money the town is making off of them. They'd be fools to start arresting people and force the concert promoters to find another venue.

Happened at one hookahville, I forget which one, way back there, long before I had even heard of hookah. They were arresting folks for just puffing by their campsite, not even for selling. The band has gone to great lengths to make sure that never happens again.

Bonnaroo was awsome this year. To many kids were there trying to make bank, which got real annoying after the millionith time someone offers you headies which weren't. And walking a mile and an half back to the campsite was a real pain, after four days I looked like a batan death march victim from all that walking. Friday started out strong with cool performances by RJD2, Ben Harper, Kid Koala (this kid is a sick dj), Neil Young (would have been much better if I wasn't behind two druken rednecks and I didn't want to move because I had a good view of that guy who does paintings inspired by his concerts) and the Funky Meters. I never saw so many spun out kids in my life, the most repeated statement I heard that night was "where are we?". Also found a nice ground score that night.
Saturday I caught the Wailers but it was to early and way to hot for me to really enjoy the performance. I had to spend a few hours recovering at the cinema tent before I went to go see the Roots who put on one of the best shows of the festival. Widespread took a little while to start really jamming but once they did it was off the hook.
Sunday was kinda of a let down after the two previous days. Buddahead and DJ Disk were okay. But I was expecting more from James Brown, don't get me wrong he was still good he just didn't have the fire that I was expecting. And was it just me or did Mix Master Mike not even play the whole hour. The Dead were a perfect ending to a great festival.
Actually managed to make it out early monday morning. Wanted to stay longer but I didn't want to deal with the traffic. Anybody find out how many people were there? I heard there was 120,000 kids there. It suck about Bonnaroo NE, is it cancelled altogether, or are they planing to have it somewhere else?
