| Has anyone listened to them? They are a prog rock band that sorta have a tool feel to them. I don't wnat to compare tehm to tool that much though, they are defintly original and artsy. Im just curios if anyone here has heard them? |

| Does anyone like dredg? This band is awesome and they have a new album in a works. If they ever come to your area you need to go see them. They put on such a great show, it's all about the music. I kinda disagree with the thread-starters tool comparison though (their first c.d maybe a little). It's got kind of a "dreamy" sound to it and Gavin has some of the most powerful vocals you will hear in modern rock. | I've been meaning to get some Dredg, a friend recommended them to me because I am a huge Tool fan and he said I would like them. I'm listening to their music now and loving it - thank you for the suggestion! I'll maybe give a review of their music a lil later after listening to it some more. |

| SpiralArchitect, like I said they don't really remind me of tool, but at times I see a slight resemblance. If you're looking for their harder stuff, see if you can download stuff from their second album, "Leitmotif." (Their first album is very hard but it will probably be very hard to find). Their third cd, "El Cielo" is the most calming and "dreamy" sounding. Their last album, "catch without arms" is the most radio-friendly but still good in it's own way. All of their albums sound completely different. Definitely let me know what you think if you check out some more of their stuff. They're one of the best bands out there right now in my opinion. |
