I travelled to the Lone Star State last night and saw The Who. It was my 6th time to see them since 1981, and this was the best performance yet despite the absence of The Ox.

When we picked up our tickets at will call, we were stunned to find 2nd row center and backstage passes. That led to one hell of a night, to put it mildly.

Pete Townshend was on fire. I've never seen him play so well. Roger Daltrey sounded every bit as good as he did 20 or 30 years ago. It's hard to believe that a couple of old men can kick ass and take names like that.

If you have a chance to see them and are not sure if you want to go, I strongly recommend it.

The one bummer - it was the first time since I was 14 that I didn't have any weed for a concert, and we're talking over 500 shows here. What a drag.
