im not into any really mainstream music. i pretty much only listen to a bit of hiphop and rap and a lot of punk.

anyone else like punk? what are your favorite bands?

my favorite is rancid and dropkick murphys Other bands which are close to my favorite are: Anti-Flag, AFI, NOFX, 88 fingers louie, and pennywise

A genre never dies, punk, disco, whatever, none of it's dead, cause people will always have a taste for it and they'll buy the cds.

I like Misfits, Iggy Pop/Stooges, and Sexpod, but not much else in the genre.

punk is definitely not dead. punk is the *****'s pimp. i like old school punk like the misfits, the exploited and the like. most punk that comes out these days is too poppy for me, but it's not too bad.

I really like ska punk, like kicked in the head (TC thanks for showing me this band), ska-p, voodoo glow skulls.

I even like some of the new punk stuff, even Blink and i dont care if you think thats not punk. It is. Comercial, but punk.

punk will never die!! My husband is into punk and he introduced me to it. Pennywise (Bro Hymn) and Naked Agression are my favorites but we also listen to H20, The Ramones, NOFX, Sick Of It All, Blink 182, Agnostic Front. Pretty much if it's punk, he has it or has seen the band live. He, Matt, also has a punk band, Anarchy Dragon. If your interested go by Anarchy Dragon dot com and check them out.

Dead Kennedys were absolutely amazing, Black Flag, Agnostic front, Minor Threat, Bad Religeon, OpIvy/Rancid, not too many new punk bands that I like except for NoFX and Goldfinger and a scattering of local punk bands that no one's ever heard of.

DoritosMan: Check out this band called Warsaw, some really good ska punk stuff, also Link 80.
