i like pretty much everything you mentioned. especially lounge/chillout, deephouse (well, anything deep goes),psytrance (not so into goa), aphex twin (everything of the rephlex, warp and planet mu label too) and the pi soundtrack just kicks a$$

finaly!!!...some one who knows where i come from!!...i kne that at one time or another some one would come up en answer....i was hope that this thread wasnt a waist...

aaah dam i'm typin now....so i cant c from where ur from....but ay ways....in the place where u live do u have a lot f evets that contain this type of music....cos sure i'v been to many raves here but i never really been to a lounge party.....so i was woundering if u have been to one.

im from Finland...and we have no lounge parties here...just the occasional rave, but they all play the same hardhouse, trance...and also some of prog parties...and some electro,techno and d'n'b parties....and there arent many where im from that are into the music i listen to...which would be the 'experimental' kind..

are there anyone here that also listen to idm or " braindance"

yeah experimental music is nice....but the thing is to me experimental music is like aphex twin or squarepusher.....but what is experimental music in ur eyes?

thats a shame that u dont have parties like that....i dont iether..but still its a depressing thought...that the "lounge" culture is so rave

I haven't yet listen to Terra Ferma, but I shall soon. IDM is my fav style of electronic music, I recommend you IDM fans to check out Soulo (www.soulo.net), John Tejeda ("Daydreams in Cold Weather"), Snooze ("Going Mobile") and Noriko Juriko (http://homepage.mac.com/tujikonoriko/top.html). Two Lone Swordsmen. Similar to IDM, Jean Michel Jarre, Contriva, Komeit, and Manual.

These are my fav. minimal, idm, experimental, ambient style artists. if you have not yet heard of them, I do so recommend to check out them out. Soulo and Jean Michel Jarre are my two favs

experimental music to me is the ones u mentioned AFX and SP, along with Autechre, Plaid, Boards of Canada, µ-Ziq, Ovuca, Bogdan Raczinsky, Mira Calix, Astrobotnia, Arovane, Venetian Snares...etc..also dig ambient like, Biosphere, FSOL, Spacetime Continuum...

np. Venetian Snares - Make Ronnie Rocket
